Abstract

In today's banking sector, the industry has undergone a significant digital transformation, recognizing the benefits of embracing technological advancements, infrastructure, and capabilities. Amidst the rapid pace of technological developments, the banking sector has experienced a serious digital transformation, driven by awareness of the benefits that technological advancements can bring. The widespread accessibility of the internet and the proliferation of smartphone usage have enabled banks to reshape their services and business processes. Banks are adopting and developing digital banking technologies to provide better and more diverse services to customers, gain a competitive advantage in the sector, and increase operational efficiencies. In this context, banks have started to invest more in technology. The continuity of the development of digital banking will contribute positively to economic growth. The purpose of this study is to examine the development of digital transformation in the banking sector. Therefore, data published on the official website of the Turkish Banks Association (TBB) regarding transaction volumes and customer numbers in digital banking services such as internet, mobile, ATM, and telephone banking have been analyzed in tabular form, and changes have been interpreted.
